A Brush With Greatness
I was walking down the stairs at McFadden's in DC and we were walking down the steps at like one step every three seconds. We get to the bottom of the stairs and there's a couple guys looking like bodyguards blocking my way to the bar. I try to get around one of the big guys on the right. I say "excuse me," to one of the guys, he just turns around and deadpan stares right through me. I say "Who is this, fuckin' K-Fed?" He says, "No. It's Vanilla Ice."

I always wondered why this happened
Ever wonder why there was sometimes only a 1:00 game or only a 4:00 game every so often on sundays on one channel while the other channel got a doubleheader? And then the next week it might have been flipped? Check this out:
Per NFL rules, stations are not allowed to air NFL games against the home team at home. Although 11/5/06 is a doubleheader date for CBS, W*USA 9 is only allowed to air a 4pm game since the Redskins play at home at 1pm on FOX. While we prefer to air two football games, we must abide to NFL broadcast rules.
That answers that.

Summertime
There are few things I like more in the summer then chowing down on some lobster. This guy wrote a book about all the lobster shacks throughout New England. I haven't checked out the book but it really sounds like it would be a good read.
For those in the City, Sapa has a great lobster special on Sundays. $15 gets you a lobster, corn on the cob and red potatoes. It's one of my favorite restaurants in the city, if not my favorite. And if you've been there you can attest to what a fantastic deal that is.
